Wrap Around Winfield

Wrap Around Winfield is a massive 14,000-square-foot outdoor trompe-l'oeil painting on the side of Joe's Carpet Warehouse at 208 E. 5th Ave in Winfield, Kansas. The mural depicts a train entering on the west side of the building, traveling "through" it, and exiting on the east near a water tower and tracks. It was painted between June 1997 and August 1998 by Marjorie Hall Bicker with Claudia Lawson. Sources: the Winfield Chamber of Commerce (cca.winfieldchamber.org) and the Midland Reporter-Telegram.
