Description
This mural by Hays artist Dennis Schiel depicts epic images of Kansas western heritage, including Wild Bill Hickok, a bison, sunflowers, and wheat, and is located outside the Heartland Foods store in Oakley. The mural also features Buffalo Bill, the Smoky Hill Trail and railroad, Monument Rocks, fossils, pheasant hunting, and the Oakley Plainsman mascot. Completion year unknown.
