The Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission Mural was painted by artist Erika Nelson in 2021. This mural commemorates 100 years of women’s right to vote honoring the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment (August 26, 1920). This mural is one of only 6 in the country selected to tell the story of the suffrage movement through public art. This is one of the many projects dedicated to making women’s history visible and accessible, and to ensure that this history is taught, told, and remembered for the next 100 years.
